International Home Solutions

Introduction
The International Home Solutions Modular Building Technology is based on factory made timber
frame closed panel technology. Fully integrated walls, floors, ceilings and
roofs are manufactured in factory prefabricated sections which can be
transported in containers any where in the world and then quickly
assembled on site using local labour to into a robust and weatherproof
structure ready for finishing.
This document describes the following aspects of the system:
• Cost Advantages
• Design methodology
• Fire resistance
• Thermal transmittance and condensation risk.
• Acoustic performance
• Environmental performance
• Durability
• Factory production
• Site based activities
Overview
International Home Solutions is an emerging brand in the world of modern methods of construction and is synonymous
with high quality building and sustainability.
We use high quality natural, recyclable, materials which are precision
engineered in quality controlled automated factories to produce large
volumes of buildings.
The International Home Solutions system is very versatile. Buildings can be designed to any style
with any exterior finish to match customer requirements. It is one of the only
system available in the world that can include factory applied render
providing completely finished buildings when assembled.
All individual components comply with UK and US Building regulations. The
assembled structure as a whole building is a supremely air tight with very
low thermal transmission values and first class environmental credentials.
The International Home Solutions Building System is a modern modular
building system that is fully compliant with all of the established environmental assessment
methods currently adopted across the globe. The System has been
designed and manufactured to the very latest international standards and
has been successfully used in building projects in Tropical and Temperate
climates.
System Advantages
The International Home Solutions building system delivers substantial whole project savings
when compared with traditional or other offsite manufacturing methods:
Key Advantages
Cost and program certainty as final price and delivery date is fixed.
Quicker design and specification program and much shorter build period
mean that the same resources can handle twice as many projects.
Less risk of exposure to delays and cost overruns which often lead into
adversarial relationships.
Detailed design and Cross Sectional Drawings, SAP analysis and structural
calculations are included in our price which eliminates engineering costs
from the slab up.
Shortened exposure of money due to faster construction of shell of building.
Lower staff and finance costs.
Project Benefits
Buildings can be constructed to a watertight shell in days using very small
workforce therefore substantially reducing the site labour cost.
Construction can take place during inclement weather.
Interior first fix can start at the same time as the exterior cladding is being
installed.
Building Components do not need to be kept dry.
Light weight modular building components reduce the reliance on heavy
lifting plant and increase health and safety standards.
Guaranteed and consistent quality.
System includes all internal and external windows, doors, walls, stairs, roof
and floors.
No roof trusses allowing roof space to be used as living accommodation.
Very high thermal and sound insulation inherent in the system.
Cavities for services easily provided.
Thinner external walls provide more floor space.
No secondary structural steel or timber required – the system is self
supporting.
No wet trades required to construct the watertight shell.
No steel reinforcing or curing time required between floor lifts (between 14
and 28 days using cast in-situ reinforced concrete construction).
System Advantages
International Home Solutions use an advanced CAD package to deliver the Architectural and
Structural design and the final production line uses CNC machinery to
minimise material wastage and ensure very high accuracy through the
offsite fabrication process.
Each component is manufactured to match precise dimensions under
controlled and automated conditions. Production normally takes 6 to 8
weeks. Finished components are loaded in numerical order of assembly
onto transportation containers which are delivered to site to suite each
phase of construction.
Quality Control
Quality control audits in the Factory during manufacture are carried out
regularly at each stage of the fabrication process.
Procedures include visual inspections of received materials and work in
progress to ensure compliance with working drawings. International Home Solutions retain
control of each building specification and permit no deviation from it by any
of our partners or contractors without prior consent.
Onsite materials are checked by International Home Solutions staff as each of the components
are unloaded to check for damage during transit and to ensure conformity
with agreed specifications.
